Yugo Version

This current version is for the "Yugo" style stamped receiver.  We continue our "rugged" theme by making the external part of this safety lever from 16 gauge (.060" or 1.5 mm) thick steel; thicker than the other AK safety levers sold. The extended side tab is also 16 gauge thick steel.
Note: This Yugo version does not fit "AKM" style AKs.

No Other Safety Lever Compares

Our AK Master Mount™ safety lever safety levers are stamped from heavy duty 16 gauge (.060" or 1.5 mm) thick steel, thicker than all the other AK safety levers on the commercial market or those made by the factory!  The extended side tab is also thick 16 gauge steel.  This makes it rugged and robust, and it will not cut your finger like the safety levers with "razor thin" side tabs.  The side tab is textured on BOTH sides for better traction, especially if wearing gloves.  The tab is also flat to be easy to move the safety lever in the up AND down directions, and it is angled slightly upward from back to front to be more ergonomic.

Solid Steel

The internal paddle part of the AK Master Mount™ enhanced safety lever is milled from solid steel.  It is NOT cast like most of the AK safety levers these days.  Yes, we overbuild our products as we are AK purist.  It is the semi-automatic configuration.

Correct Safety Lever Stop

The lower edge has the correct embossing to prevent the safety lever from over-riding the safety lever stop tab that extends up from the trigger well. 

Robust Construction

The distal end of the AK Master Mount™ enhanced safety levers have a stiffening ridge incorporated into the stamping to provide greater strength and rigidity under the bolt-hold-open notch.  There is also a distal smaller side tab for an additional finger purchase point, plus it adds even further strength to the end of the lever. 

Bolt Hold Open Notch (BHO) Version

Since many shooting ranges require the bolt to be open when the firearm is not in use, our enhanced safety levers come with a bolt hold open notch. The front edge of the notch is "hook shaped" to firmly wrap around the charging handle.  This Bolt Hold Open notch is a version available in both our AKM and Yugo version safety levers.

Semi-Auto or Full-Auto Configuration

Our AKM versions are available in a semi-auto or full-auto configuration, with or without BHO notch feature.  The semi-auto configuration has a notched internal paddle component so that engagement with a full-auto sear can not occur.
